About

My name is Matt Schaffer, I have lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for my whole life and I am a sophomore at Heritage High School. I have 5 family members that live with me currently; my mother, father, and an older and younger sister. My Mom is a preschool teacher at our church, and my Dad is an engineer at a company called Microchip. His job is to make microprocessors for clients. My older sister is a senior here at Heritage High School. My younger sister is in 5th grade at Endevor Charter School, where I went to elementary and middle school. I have played many sports such as baseball, basketball, football and hockey. Hockey is my favorite sport and the one that I have played the most. Freshman year at Heritage High, I ran cross country. Currently though, I play percussion in the Heritage band. In my free time, I like to play golf, hockey, games on my computer and play around with 3d modeling programs such as Google SketchUp. Some plans for my future high school career are to take more drafting classes and some woodworking classes. After high school, I plan to go to a four-year college and study something to do with math or science. The school that I would like to attend is Appalachian State University located in Boone, NC.
